Glasgow Caledonian University
The main campus, located in Glasgow’s city-center, provides an excellent learning environment for more than 20,000 students from Scotland and around the world. Recently, a $41 million development project transformed the campus to offer a cutting-edge learning environment for our students, researchers and partners from business and the local community. GCU’s three pillars of expertise are supported by the Glasgow School for Business and Society, the School of Engineering and Built Environment, and the School of Health and Life Sciences.
Located in an ultra-modern environment in the heart of the international fashion and finance capital of London, this professional graduate university campus draws on high-quality teaching and industry partnerships around the globe. Students in GCNYC’s Master’s International Fashion Marketing, Master’s Risk Management and Master’s Social Business and Microfinance programs can choose to spend a week of their studies at GCU London.
GCU has been working with the award-winning Caledonian College of Engineering since 1996, and offers the college’s largest program of transnational education to undergraduate and graduate students. GCU has graduated more female engineers than any other college in that part of the world.
The award-winning Grameen Caledonian College of Nursing (GCCN) is a visionary partnership between GCU and the Grameen Healthcare Trust. Established as a social business in 2010, GCCN is raising the quality of health care education in Bangladesh to an international level – and transforming the lives of young nurses across the country, to address midwifery and the crisis of infant mortality in the population they serve. GCCN was recognized with a Unilever Global Development Award, supported by Business Fights Poverty.
