Glasgow Caledonian New York College (GCNYC) is New York City’s College For the Common Good. Dedicated to education through the lens of sustainability, GCNYC leverages nearly 150 years of academic excellence to bring a distinctly global perspective to its degree programs. The College is located at 64 Wooster Street in the heart of the vibrant and historic SoHo neighborhood of New York City. For the convenience of its students, classes are offered in the evenings and online. GCNYC is chartered by the New York State Department of Education and is a candidate for accreditation by the Middle States Commission for Higher Education.

Advanced Programs

Master’s Degree Offerings

GCNYC offers distinctive Master’s of Science degree programs in Business for Social Impact and Sustainability, Sustainable Fashion, and Risk, Resilience and Integrity Management. These are tailored for students entering as accomplished professionals in their sectors. The curricula focus knowledge, skills and ability needed for increasingly responsible leadership roles as global stewards of sustainability and social responsibility.

The programs are practical, relevant, research-based and purpose driven. Focusing on the intersection of profitability and sustainability, our students explore the of use of business and industry as forces for good, learning strategies for balancing environmental, social and governance priorities while continuing to deliver financial success.

GCNYC Master’s of Science programs are intended to be hands on and transferable. The draw upon real-life examples including case studies to challenge students to immediately practice what they have learned in class. All programs are conveniently scheduled for part-time and full-time students and designed with working professionals in mind.


Non-Degree Offerings

In addition to Master’s degree programs, GCNYC offers non-degree professional development courses (for-credit and non-credit) that will help students take their careers to the next level. The offerings combine academic theory with pragmatic topics centered around sustainability and global business. 

Individuals with a bachelor’s degree can pursue 12 weeks of a 4-credit class or a 6-week non-credit opportunity. With a weekly commitment of 4 hours or less, students benefit from the industry expertise of GCNYC faculty while preparing for the next step in their careers.
